  1. Introductions and Welcome From The Town Mayor, Cllr Michael Jefferys

The Mayor opened the meeting and welcomed members of the public, Cllr Soons, PCSO Butcher and the press.

 

  1. To Receive the Minutes of the Annual Town Meeting held on 25th May 2021

The Mayor presented the minutes of the Annual Town Meeting held on 25th May 2021 and the following was agreed:

 

22/05/3.01 Resolved

That the minutes of the Annual Town Meeting held on 25th May 2021 be adopted and signed as a correct record by the Town Mayor.

 

  1. Matters Arising

There were no matters arising.

 

  1. To Receive the Mayor’s Report

The Mayor gave thanks to NTC staff for all their hard work and to Cllrs for their commitment and participation in weekly meetings on a voluntary basis.  Thanks were also given to all of the volunteers in the community, particularly the assistance they gave to the Coronavirus response helpline.  The pandemic led to partnerships in Newmarket and it is hoped that this will be retained going forward. NTC were looking forward to the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations starting with the lighting of the beacon on the Severals on the evening of Thursday 2nd of June 2022.

 

  1. Open Session – Questions from Electors To Representatives of The Three Local Authorities Responsible for the Town of Newmarket

No members of the public wished to speak.

The Mayor thanked residents for attending the meeting tonight.

The meeting closed at 6:50pm
