Summary: This report outlines information regarding the costs incurred by the Parish Alliance
Sunnica Group regarding a Landscape Appraisal.
1. Introduction
a. This request for consideration of funding assistance was referred from the Neighbourhood Plan
Committee on 14th March 2022.
2. Context
a. Further information regarding costs has been received (attached email).
3. Proposal/Options
a. The Parish Alliance Sunnica Group have requested that a contribution of £3,500 be considered
by the Town Council (smaller parish councils have funded amounts of £2K – £3).
4. Financial/Resource Implications
a. £3,500 could be funded from Legal Expenses in the 2022/23 budget.
5. Next Steps/Recommendations
a. To approve funding £3,500 from Legal Expenses code 4056/101 budget 22/33.
b. Resolve member representation for NTC at Parish Alliance Sunnica Group meetings going
forward.

1/ the following parish councils have agreed to contribute £3,000
Chippenham
Fordham
Freckenham
Isleham
Mildenhall
Red Lodge
Worlington £21,000

2/ the following Parishes have agreed to contribute £1,000
Snailwell
West Row £2,000

3/ The Parishes will be billed individually and proportionally for Michelle’s work with a VAT invoice direct
from Michelle.

4/ the Action Group have agreed to cover the balance but are very short of funds.

5/ Michelles work is invaluable firstly in highlighting the numerous shortfalls in the application and in the
mitigation of works going forward for anything that is proposed. Any contribution to the these funds will be hugely
appreciated, but if you were able to contribute £3,500 it would be amazing.

6/ Michelle is highly regarded in her profession and has a superb reputation for this type of work.
