WELCOME TO MY MONTHLY PARTNERSHIP FUNDED
PCSO REPORT.
Listed below are just some of the activities I have been involved in alongside actively supporting the Police in Newmarket with taskings regarding crimes and investigations.
This would typically include the requesting and collection of CCTV and reassurance for individuals and businesses who may have been either victims or witnesses of crime as well as making regular intelligence submissions. (9 this Month)
NEWMARKET POLICING PRIORITYS
1-AQUISITIVE CRIME-Theft of/from Motor Vehicles including Number Plates, Thefts and burglaries from rural farms and businesses, Thefts from person, Garage break ins, Theft of Pedal Cycles Theft of Cooking Oil.
2-OP VELOCITY (COUNTY LINES)-
Maintaining pressure on emerging new lines
Targeting and reducing drug supply in Newmarket
Increasing and focusing on intelligence submissions
3-PULSE PATROLS-To be conducted at the following locations:
Churchill Court, Bill Rickaby Drive, Greville Starkey Avenue, Snailwell road,
Paget Place, Balaton Place,
Falmouth Gardens, Malcom Way, and The Guineas Shopping Centre.
ENGAGEMENT OPPORTUNITYS
This month included a visit to Newmarket Leisure Centre to support the Teen Chill initiative which caters for young persons aged between 11-16.
I also was joined by our engagement officer to carry out a STREET MEET at the Guineas shopping centre. This was in response to reports from Guineas management of continuing ASB at the locus.
ADDITIONAL SPEED CHECKS
I have again been out and about conducting additional speed checks at various sites in and around Newmarket including both FORDHAM RD and EXNING RD where the highest recorded speed was 34MPH.
These checks are in addition to the regular visits made by the Suffolk safecam team.
SCHOOL INPUTS
This month I have delivered inputs to year six pupils at LAUREATE ACADEMY covering INTERNET SAFETY,STAYING SAFE and TAKING RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR ACTIONS.
Additionally I also visited EXNING PRIMARY SCHOOL COUNCIL in the company of the Parish Council chairman to discuss the role of a councillor in the local community and what it entails.
