It is with great sadness that the council has been notified of the death of Councillor Warwick Hirst yesterday, 23rd October 2022.
Warwick was Town Councillor from 2003 to 2019 and he was the Mayor from 2005 to 2007. He was also a District Councillor at the former Forest Heath District Council.
He contributed much to the town over a period of many years.
We extend our condolences to his wife Alison and his family and friends at this sad time.
As a token of respect for Warwick, the flag outside the Memorial Hall has been lowered to half-mast.
