Newmarket Town Council is excited to announce that the 2nd Newmarket Soapbox Derby is set for Sunday 29th August 2021.
With just less than 150 days away, it is time to start building your gravity-powered car! Remember that it is highly unusual for a design to be perfect on the first attempt.
Examining what works and what does not, without getting discouraged so you can make changes for improvement. More information about how to build a Soapbox can be found online.
All teams will get two runs of the course in a bid for soap and glory with an amazing prize for the winner.
The annual event will be held in Warren Hill with the support of Jockey Club and other stakeholders. An action-packed day whether you’re competing or spectating.
