The Town Council wishes to welcome the new PSCO 3036 William Butcher.
PCSO is a vital part of our local policing service. Let’s get to know a little bit about PSCO 3036.
William joined Suffolk Constabulary in 2005 as one of the first PCSO to be appointed in the Western Area. He was based at Mildenhall where he served until October 2018. During this time, he was involved in all aspects of neighbourhood Policing and served as a Community Governor at both Riverside Middle School and Mildenhall College Academy completing five years at each location. He also helped set up the Mildenhall Security Watch Association and was a member of the Forest Heath Crime Prevention Panel.
In 2018 he took up a post which was funded by Mid Suffolk District Council. He was based in Stowmarket and covered parishes across Mid Suffolk. He was extensively involved in local community Policing as part of Stowmarket SNT, and support many local organisations including Stowmarket Dementia Action Alliance.
He was appointed as the next Newmarket Town Council Sponsored PCSO taking over the role from PCSO Bradley Rackham on 1st February.
