Newmarket Jigsaw Festival & British Championships

The Newmarket Jigsaw festival is now launched and the jigsaw puzzle enthusiasts are being invited to register for the Gibson British Jigsaw Championships.

Every year, hundreds of completed jigsaw puzzles brought together to create a patchwork of colour and spectacle. The satisfaction of putting the final piece of a puzzle into place is timeless.

The Jigsaw Festival is being held 22nd – 27th June 2021 from 10.00 am -4.00pm daily, Sunday 12.00pm -4.00pm. The entrance is £2 which grants admission all week, children are free. Entrants are welcome in three categories, Elite ( those who would expect to complete in under 3 hours) Pairs and Fun and prizes are £100 £100, and £50 respectively.

There will be an ever – changing display of puzzles from our stock off 1000+ to view.

Sunday 27th June sees the Eighth British Jigsaw Championships, sponsored by Gibson Games take place in The Turner Hall and possibly the Memorial Hall depending on numbers and Covid safety rules which will be in place at the time.
Whilst we’re not expecting visitors from abroad this year due to travel restrictions, we already have 33 entrants registered who aim to be the first to complete a 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle, the design of which is not revealed until the start of the contest.
