Annual Town Meeting of Newmarket Electors

The Annual Town Meeting may, by law, discuss all town affairs and pass resolutions about them.

In accordance with LGA 1972, section 13 (1), a town meeting shall consist of the registered local government electors for the town.

6.15pm: Arrival, refreshments, viewing of displays.

  3. To receive the minutes of the Annual Town Meeting held on 18th May 2023
  4. Matters arising from the minutes
  5. To receive the Mayor’s report
  6. To receive a report from Michael Jefferies, Chair of the Newmarket Neighbourhood Plan working group
  7. To receive reports from recipients of Town Council small grants
  8. Open session – questions from electors to representatives of the three local authorities responsible for the town of Newmarket (Suffolk County Council, West Suffolk Council and Newmarket Town Council)

NB: Printed reports from the Town Council Committee Chairs, Suffolk County Councillors and West Suffolk District Councillors will be made available for viewing and taking away.
