Thousands turned out for Newmarket’s third Soapbox Derby on Sunday 28th August.
So many well-deserved thanks need to be given to everyone involved in organising the event, starting with the Jockey Club Estates, JezO’s, Tesco, Newmarket Journal, Newmarket Flyer, Cambridge Scaffolding, NP Nunn, and Discover Newmarket.
Also, to our volunteers for their hard work making this family event another successful Soapbox Derby. And to the sponsors – Manchetts, Tattersalls and SP Landscapes for their generosity.
Creativity is key at Soapbox and our teams definitely delivered a show. Massive congratulations to all 14 teams. This year’s winners are: Soapbox Winner 2022 & Fastest Team with 51.12 – Team Servsc with Captain Colin Mitchell from SERV Suffolk & Cambridgeshire. Best Engineering – Manchetts, Newmarket with Captain Roland Middleton. Best Design – Outatime with Captain Jamie Darkins from Patersons. Winning and losing are secondary, participation is what matters most.
The donation total to go towards the nominated charities will be announced very soon.
