Memorial Gardens Summer Entertainment

Looking for some easy and fun summer activities for your kids?

The Summer Entertainment event will return to the Memorial Gardens every Thursday from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm for children aged 0-13 years and their accompanying adults.

Whether you need to entertain the children or grandchildren, we have put together a list of free things to do in the Memorial Gardens and it is jam-packed with exceptional creative activities.
A weekly festival where kids can try out arts activities with professional artists and enjoy a wide range of fun free activities, including magic shows, art and circus workshops, face painting, storytelling, animal experience, theatre performances and as always, your favourite free inflatable fun.

Newmarket Town Council has an exciting line-up of summer events for families and children throughout the summer holiday and co-organised with West Suffolk Council and Suffolk County Council. 

We hope you’re all getting as excited as we are! The events are FREE and no booking is required.

Holiday Activity & Food programme 

In addition, if your family is eligible for Free School Meals or you know a family that might benefit from the Holiday Activity & Food programme, we offer 20 packed lunches per day for children and young people who are age 5-16. For more information, please email events@newmarket.gov.uk

We are encouraging families to pre-order meals for all five of these events.
