Purple Tuesday

Following an idea brought forward by a resident, Newmarket Town Council, in conjunction with Love Newmarket and, Guineas Shopping Centre are delighted to support a town-wide event to promote Purple Tuesday, which this year is on 2nd November 2021.
Purple Tuesday is the UK’s accessible shopping day, established to recognise the importance and needs of disabled consumers and promote inclusive shopping. Participating retailers will be promoting their involvement on the day, with events taking place on high streets and in shopping centres.
Many retailers will be looking how to make their stores more accessible, to help those with disabilities to have a stress-free day of shopping.
Charities and community groups will be taking part in our free event in the town centre. This is an opportunity for local groups to promote the work they are carrying out in Newmarket.
