Take part in Census 2021 which will help shape where essential resources, funding, and services will be focused over the next decade such as healthcare, education, and transport.
Most households will receive a letter in the post from Office for National Statistics by Saturday, 13 March 2021 which explains how to take part in the census.
This letter contains:
• A unique code that you will need to complete the census online. It should take around 10 minutes per person to complete online.
• Information on how you can complete it online using your computer, phone or tablet
• Details about when to complete the census by and how to access it in different languages and accessible formats.
For the first time, the census will be mainly online. Some households may receive a paper questionnaire and a freepost envelope to complete and return instead.
The census is a unique survey that happens every 10 years. It gives us a snapshot of all the people and households in England and Wales – the most detailed information we have about our society.
