DESCRIPTION:Many people begin their well-being journey by looking for a source of healing from mental health struggles and physical ailments. There is an abundance of research available that has revealed the positive effects of Yoga and Pilates. \nNewmarket Town Council understands the benefits they both have on the minds and bodies and decided to make the classes open and free for everyone\, whether you are an experienced yogi or looking to establish your own yoga routine. Similarly\, spending time outdoors creates the perfect healing complement to any wellbeing practice. It contributes to feeling better emotionally and contributes to physical wellbeing by reducing blood pressure\, heart rate\, and muscle tension. Additionally\, being outdoors gives the brain the downtime it needs to recharge.\nA highly experienced Yoga teacher has joined the council to deliver excellence in all her classes\, which will run once every week during the summer period. \nCorinne  is a qualified yoga teacher and a member of the Yoga Alliance International. Corinne has worked with sports people & teams to assist with muscle development and injury prevention. The classes will concentrate on an invigorating vinyasa flow with an upbeat feel – exploring strength\, balance and flexibility. The juxtaposition of challenging physical yoga workouts and yoga poses\, alongside restorative\, relaxing yoga means there is never a time when you can’t find something you are looking for from yoga.\n”Whether you are a runner\, a gym fanatic\, a busy office worker or someone just needing the space and time to unwind\, I am a passionate believer that yoga can benefit everyone in some dimension of their lives. SUMMARY:Drop-In Free Art Workshop
DESCRIPTION:On Saturday\, 1st July\, we are building a beautiful butterfly wall mural …would you care to join us? The mural will be displayed in the summer of 2023 in the Memorial Gardens. A professional artist will lead the workshop\, and all materials will be provided. Children will have the opportunity to colour a unique hand-crafted butterfly and\, when all put together\, will portray a butterfly-themed installation at the garden’s new entrance – and you can take part in other butterfly crafts.  It’s an accessible and fun creative drop-in workshop that is free to attend and non-ticketed.
