Purple Tuesday

The Purple Tuesday is coming back to Newmarket for a second year!!

Following an idea brought forward by a resident Newmarket Town Council, in conjunction with Love Newmarket and Guineas Shopping Centre are delighted to support a town wide event to promote Purple Tuesday, which this year was on 12th November 2019.
Purple Tuesday is the UK’s first accessible shopping day, established to recognise the importance and needs of disabled consumers and promote inclusive shopping. Participating retailers will be promoting their involvement on the day, with events taking place on high streets and in shopping centres.
People came at the Guineas Shopping Centre and  met local groups and charities. We hoped you enjoyed this meaningful event.
The aim is to make customer-facing businesses more aware of these opportunities and challenges and inspire them to make changes to improve the disabled customer experience over the long term.
So let’s turn the town purple and make Newmarket a more accessible place.
