In 2020, Newmarket Town Council will be organising our town Carnival and has exciting plans to rejuvenate this popular town event on behalf of our community.

The focus this year will be very much on community involvement and the Town Council is keen to ensure sure that local groups can participate and are calling on them, along with local companies and charities, to get involved by booking an entry in the parade or stalls at the Carnival. As always, schools are also encouraged to participate.

Newmarket Town Council would like to give special thanks to Tracy and Julie Williams, who have successfully run the Carnival for the last three years.

Town Mayor, Councillor Rachel Hood said “we are delighted that the Town Council will again be organising Newmarket’s Carnival, which will take place on Saturday July 4th 2020 and we hugely encourage and welcome the involvement and participation of the whole community in our much-loved event.”

Volunteers are also sought to assist with organising the Carnival, so if you have some event management or marketing experience and some time on your hands then our Events Manager would love to hear from you with your CV.
