Tea Dances - Slip on your dancing shoes!

Come along to our monthly Tea Dances and dance the afternoon away to the sounds of the Big Band classics. Attracting over 40 people some months, these afternoon dance sessions are a great way to meet new friends and enjoy a selection of ballroom music courtesy of Trevor Blaber.
 
Whether you're single, a couple or a group - everyone is welcome. So come and join in the fun with Resident organist Trevor on the following dates, 2:00pm – 4:00pm. Tea and cakes included. Tickets £2.00; for further information ring Kay Dawson, Events Manager 01638 667227.

Children’s Easter Party!

Free Children’s Easter Party 7th April 2010 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm at the Memorial Hall, High Street, Newmarket. There will be a magic show, disco, refreshments, an Easter egg hunt (weather permitting) and a visit from the Easter Bunny. Ring Kay Dawson, Events Manager 01638 667227 for tickets.


St George’s Day Celebrations!

Calling all residents! Today is your chance to book your St George’s Day Celebration ticket. Newmarket Town Council would like to invite you to join us, with the Galaxy Big Band, in the Memorial Hall. Your ticket will included sausage and mash and there will be a licensed bar. The event is due to take place on Friday 23rd April 2009 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm (Doors open at 5:00pm).

The Long Way Home!

The Eastern Angles Theatre Company presents ‘THE LONG WAY HOME’ By Charles Way.
Wednesday 19th May 2010 7:00pm-10:30pm

A heart-warming story for the whole family, about friendship through adversity; by the author of ‘In the Bleak Midwinter’. An old woman decides to walk home to the seaside village of her birth – a journey through dark woods, fertile plains and over snow-capped mountains. She soon meets a wild young boy in the forest whose only means of communication is to bark like a dog and the two become unlikely travelling companions, ‘The Long Way Home’ is a traditional folk tale storytelling with music and magic.
